Dip into a chocolicious weekend in the Dolomites

5 March 2010 No Comment

Veneti chocolate’s addicts are delight in hearing that the 4th edition of “Cioccolando” is back in the Dolomites. The event, which celebrate all things cocoa-coated, will take place this weekend 5-6-7 March in Auronzo di Cadore.

During these 3days there will be heaps of chocolate tastings, competitions, watching sculptors carving their artworks with tons of chocolate and, if you are close enough, getting to eat the chippings!

Talking about sweet success, Mirco Della Vecchia will attempt to break another of his Guinness world’s record this time with a 8-mt replica of St Mark’s Tower. A majestic cocoa creation which will require 8000 kg of chocolate and, if accomplished, it will gain the title of the world’s tallest chocolate sculpture.

But that isn’t all: food lovers could even savour an indulgent all-courses-chocolate’s menu, chocoholics have a toast with some original aperitifs, skiers manoeuvre in a “ciokko-slalom” among chocolates’ gates and adventurers play “ciokko-geocatching” at night. There would be lots of entertainment for the kids and, if you prefer a more relaxed approach, don’t worry, you could pamper yourself with a cocoa-beauty treatment.

While you are there, don’t miss the opportunity to get a closer glimpse or even trek the imposing peaks of Tre Cime di Lavaredo and the picturesque Lake Misurina.
